I want my art to pique your curiosity and engage your sensibilities!
To that end, I strive passionately to create work that is both visually striking and thought provoking. I feel I have especially succeeded if a piece invokes mystery or raises questions and leaves them unresolved, in the hope that you will have an endless dialogue with it.
I create my pieces in various sizes, using various media including watercolour, egg tempera, acrylic, casein, ink, charcoal and graphite.
Some of the artists, and their art styles/movements, that influence me and my artistic output include: (realism) Andrew Wyeth, Edward Hopper, John Register; (magic realism) Robert Vickery; (symbolism) Alphonse Mucha, Gustav Klimt; (semi-abstract and pop art) Peter Blake, David Hockney; and so many more.
